Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?T-cut, waxed and polished the car like crazy at the weekend. But had to park miles away today when I got in (late) to work. Means I can't peek out the window to enjoy my had work!
Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com
Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?
Took out the window guides (both sides) and cleaned the years of gunk out of them (lots!). Regreased, refitted ... still not great but will go up and down slowly.. time to wire the switches direct to the battery.
Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?
would you consider converting to wind up windows? or is it a lot of hassles? ![]()
Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?t'would be easy enough.. but a manual passenger window is a PITA.
Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?I've had a great day today.I lowered the front 10mm but didn't get the rear done. It's a bit of a pain in the ar-- as I have to remove the strut top motors.I'll get the rear done tomorrow.I also managed to sell a 5 today.Boy did he get a bargain.92 1600cc full years Mot,New Mohair hood, new tyres, new battery and totally original.£800
Re: What did you do to your MX5 today ?Isn't it a sure sign of how things are right now. What would you have sold the same car for, say, two years ago?? a LOT more than £800 I'd imagine. However, there's not too many cars out there that can claim to be desirable after17-18 years on the road.

The perfection of a Car's beauty is that nothing should be there for beauty's sake.
