How long it take? I've got new (old) window mechanisms in the boot, waiting to get installed. Just haven't had time.

About forty mins, but I'd allow for double that if first time. Can write up a quick how-to/step by step if you are going to do it, just v.basic tools needed.

When you take out the unit under the dash ( a bast*rd job having to remove and then replace the dash), you'll need to fabricate a ducting for the air between the blower and the heater assembly, across the gap left by the removal of the a/c unit. Im not 100% sure, but do you have to adjust sensors or something in relation to the ecu once you remove the aircon??

If you want to see the condenser unit before tackling it, I have one in my garage.

Fired up the mk2 today, just to check that it survived the winter( so far). Fired on first turn, no problems. Gonna prep it now for an introduction track day at mondello on 29th.

Passed the Nct with flying colours. If it had any lower emissions it would actually be good for the environment!!!!

No need to remove the dash on a mk1, you can take out the glovebox (2 screws) then undo a couple of bolts and it comes out with a bit of twisting. I replaced it with the pipe from a non-import (ordered it from Mazda, can have a look for the part number if you need it).
Cheers,
