After cleaning all the mould down and draining the drivers footwell of a bucket and a half of water, I trickle charged my battery for a few nights took the roof down and took my baby for a well deserved spin. Called into Midlifecrisis for cuppa which turned into our first mini tech afternoon. Lots of cars being washed and both of Midlifes cars were reved up and shining.

I discovered where the water was getting into drivers side, not only one tear in roof ..but 4 around back window as well. So new roof required!! and can anyone tell me how to get rid of the smell of mould outta my wee babe? Twas grand on Saturday with roof down but god was i surprised when I had to drive with the roof up on Sunday..yuck!!!

Anyone know of a roof going, let me know!

Cheers
Ann

Same problem here. Roof shagged and floor damp. Lifted passenger carpet and the underlay was sapping. Stuck in a wee fan heater and its grand now. You will probably need to replace the underlay/insulation stuff.

Yeah, put whole lot in the "tank" for a week and then prepped and sprayed . Lot of work but better than standard which was just a flash coat of paint.

Looks like new!
Do you need to change the contents of the tank often/at all?

fitted the new component speakers one pasenger side today, removed the factory speakers and made up a mdf adaptor plate to fit the 6'' vibe speaker. the tweeter fitted directly into the existing hole where the dummy tweeter was.

no Steve, same mix for a while now if using a stainless anode. Water is clear as all the rust falls to the bottom.

Totally impressed with this rust removal gizmo, it's like something out of Back To The Future, if you told me it was a Flux Capacitor I couldn't argue.
