Fitted hardtop side mounting plates from mx5parts. Now the car feels like a coupe with the hard top on. Looks good too.

Filled up clutch fluid again, as the reservoir was empty. I know there is a leak somewhere, just have to find where.. Brakes holding up fine.

Might be the slave cylinder, pull back the boot and see if there is fluid underneath.

Will have to do. The master cylinder is a bit rusty. Any good pictures where the slave cylinder is placed?

Also changed spark plugs and leads. 8mm Black ones from mx5parts, turned out a tad long. They do not lie flat on top of the top gasket cover, but they work. Slight smoother operation.

Look in through the drivers side wheel arch and you'll see it bolted to the gearbox.
Just two bolts and the line to remove. Would recommend undoing the bolts from below (to get a good swing at them).
Some pics linked in this thread : viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3282&p=30075&hilit=slave+cylinder#p30075

Also, heres how I changed the master cylinder (I didn't "bench bleed" it and it has been perfect):

Painted + fitted a "Dustpan" intake.

Rewired fog light relay, painted bonnet strut and replaced the rear slider pins, they were in a bad state.

Its a GReddy intake, I think I sourced it via one of the US forums. Flyin' Miata used to sell them/incl as part of the FM turbo package so there should be a few knocking about in the classifieds.

Brought car to NCT centre and ............. It passed, 11,000 since this time last year, no service since! Figured I'd throw it in for test & fix whatever it failed on! Clear bill of health :-)
