After all my posturing and teasing, I am not going to be able to make this weekend.

My inconsiderate mate is coming to visit me before he emigrates down under so i cant really say no.

Really sorry and absolutely gutted that I wont be able to leave the Mk1s for dust on sunday :x :P

Looks like its going to be great weather on sunday too. Have a great day everyone and hopefully catch some of you at the next run-day.

Damn friends!

Catch at the next one Olly.[/quote]

One Mk2 is more than a match for 20 Mk1's :P :P

And becos i dont have a Mk1, i actually have a life (i.e friends...well a friend at least and he is bloody emigrating)

Ash, gutted i cant go and give the magazine a chance to take a piccie of a real car instead of all the ugly Mk1's. Lets hope they have the "beautiful" filters for the camera and you lot should be ok.

Right then guys, have a great day. Try not to lose each other and remember....be careful out there.

Hi Guys,
Not been around for a while but had several reasons for that.

The house was broken into and we were cleaned out !!!! My shock upon discovering the presence of mr f*ucking Burgalars had been in while we were asleep upstairs was heart stoppin BUT they never took the keys to the Mx5. So no laptops left in the house or cameras tv money sat nav jewelery cash ( Holiday money) hence no posting.
I now have a loan of a laptop and guess what ? I have pulled my back two days ago ( And to add insult to injury I am a manual handling Instructor !!!!!!!!! arrrghhhhhhh )
So,
as I write this I am in bed on Vallium and drifting in and out of happy land

So it looks like I will not be able to make tomorrow sorry Ollie

Hey Guys,

with regards to the meet and the presence of the Mazda People.I guess it would be an idea to play it all by ear and let the volume of 5's do the talking initially.

We dont know what the mazda people are looking for but if they have an agenda I'm sure they will bring it to the group and we could gauge our response from there.

However,What would we be looking for as a club ?

My twopence worth of suggestions as a newbie would be:

1.Sponsorship to provide us with the club logo embrodered on a polo top or baseball cap etc plus the famous car stuickers.
2.Exposure as a club via the Mazda pa machine ie. A feature on the club PHOTOSHOOT DAY ( Increase in members potential)
3.Web space/free hosting.
4.Discounted service parts or club members.

I am quite sure that Mazda have thier own ideas but these might be of benifit o the club.

Re - the mazda irl contact.........thanks for the injection of ideas.....I'm now in contact with them (thanks to Steve) nd i'll be hooking up with mazda in the coming weeks to see whats what and get a vision of what they have in mind.
